INVESTMENTANALYST- FUND MANAGEMENT
Job Description, key responsibilities:
SFP is looking for a talented and highly motivated individual who is starting his/her career.
The open position is Fund of Funds Investment Analyst and the duties include the following:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence on prospective fund managers across various asset classes (e.g., long-only, hedge funds, private equity, private real estate).
- Assist in monitoring existing investments, including performance tracking, risk analysis, and regular manager communication.
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and internal reports to support portfolio construction and rebalancing decisions.
- Provide analytical support by analyzing portfolios, enhancing and developing research tools, procedures and practices.
- Stay up-to-date with market developments, fund trends, and macroeconomic factors that may impact fund selection or portfolio allocation.
- Participate in investment committee discussions and provide insights based on research findings.
- Work with Excel and Bloomberg updating and monitoring investment tools.
- Support middle office operations and accounting system.
- Other ad-hoc research tasks/projects as required.
Lack in experience in any of the above responsibilities can be compensated by the willingness and ability to learn the same.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree. CFA or CAIA candidates preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience in investment research, fund of funds, asset management, stock broking, or a related field.
- Good knowledge and strong interest in financial markets and instruments.
- Actively involved in problem-solving, well organized, highly flexible, displays innovation in suggesting new/better ways of managing things.
- A strong team player is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Willingness to take on work that may be outside the scope of normal duties.
