Assistant Specialist, Programmes and Quality Assurance

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and Implement Malay Language Curriculum and Programmes

• Assist in driving the design of quality teaching and learning approaches beyond curriculum frameworks.
• Support the enhancement of learning needs assessment processes and structures.
• Align child engagement strategies in accordance with M.Y World’s policies.
• Assist in implementing quality classroom management strategies based on leading practices.
• Evaluate improvements made to enhance the quality of the learning environment.
• Advocate appropriate standards and procedures in health, safety, nutrition, and hygiene.
• Support the development of new teaching methods, tools, and assistive technologies based on emerging trends.
• Assist in the assessment of children’s learning and development.

1. Monitor and Drive the Attainment of Mother Tongue Language (MTL) Programme KPIs

• Collaborate with centre leaders and educators to align teaching practices with MTL programme goals.
• Analyse relevant programme data to track progress toward achieving MTL KPIs.
• Assist with the management of MTL educators deployment and relief arrangements (when neccessary).
• Assist the Head of Curriculum in preparing and presenting KPI reports to senior management.
• Facilitate professional learning communities to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Provide ongoing training, resources, and support to educators to strengthen MTL teaching effectiveness.
• Conduct regular curriculum reviews and classroom observations to ensure quality and consistency.
• Support the implementation of targeted interventions and curriculum enhancements based on performance data.

1. Support Curriculum Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Assist the Head of Curriculum in monitoring the implementation of quality assurance standards across centres, ensuring alignment with MY World’s internal benchmarks and ECDA regulations (e.g., SPARK standards).
• Support the documentation and interpretation of findings from curriculum audits and classroom observations.
• Assist in the development and follow-up of centre-level action plans to improve curriculum delivery and teaching practices, based on audit findings.
• Contribute to the continuous quality improvement process by supporting regular reviews, peer learning, and professional reflection activities.

1. Build Stakeholder Relationships and Partnerships

• Foster a culture of collaboration within and across centres.
• Assist in initiating partnerships and collaborations with families and community stakeholders.

1. Uplift Professional Practice

• Assist in reviewing teaching and caregiving methods based on sector trends, technologies, and tools.
• Facilitate the establishment of mentoring plans and structures across centres.
• Support professional development and service quality enhancement efforts.
• Embed elements of M.Y World’s vision, mission, and values into Malay curriculum and pedagogical design.

1. Perform Other Duties as Assigned

• Perform any other duties as assigned to support the continuous improvement of the Malay Language curriculum and the overall quality of early childhood education at M.Y World Preschool Ltd., as well as to ensuring ongoing compliance with quality and ECDA’s requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
