Manager, IT Project Management
DHL Supply Chain Tampines Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Support RFQs, RFIs and other sales pursuits. Own and deliver the IT submission(s) for DHL’s supply chain services against business opportunities.
- Develop the IT solution, IT cost estimate and proposal slides as part of DHL’s proposal and response.
- Support the Business Development team with the technical aspects of pursuits.
- Own, manage and deliver strategic IT solutions and project implementations for existing and for new customers, in accordance with DHL’s project management tools and guidelines.
- Apply DHL’s IT Project Management methodology (DePICT) to IT Project activities to ensure projects are delivered to scope, budget and time.
- Engage internal external and potential customers to understand their business requirements and IT needs. Analyse RFPs for stated IT requirements.
- Work with the Business Development and Solution Design teams in developing winning solutions.
- Develop the IT Cost Model, (high level) IT System Design and Sales Collateral, as appropriate.
- Work with project sponsors, warehouse and transport operations, WMS and other IT technical resources and the customer’s IT teams in managing project deliverables, budget and risks.
- Adherence to DHL’s project delivery methodology and guidelines - O2D and DePICT is required.
Requirements:
- Professional experience: Prior experience of managing complete lifecycle projects and delivering them successfully. Project stakeholder experience in other key roles like the Business Analyst, Technical Lead, Test manager etc. Experience developing, implementing or supporting IT software, exposure to integration tools/message formats & protocols. Knowledge of and certifications in Project Management methodologies and tools considered a plus.
- Domain knowledge: An understanding of warehouse management and supply chain processes, good understanding and experience with related IT products and project management techniques shall be considered favourably.
- Communication: Ability to present ideas, risks and information in a clear and succinct manner, good verbal and written English language communication skills. Ability to listen attentively, ask questions when needed and summarizes key points.
- Customer Orientation: Focused on identifying and understanding the (internal or external) customer’s needs.
- Planning & Organizing: Must be able to track multiple threads/tasks and keep them all on track, whilst prioritizing and maintaining a clear sense of proportion.
- Analysis: Read situations and timelines to interpret potential project risks, issues and cost impact.
