Key Responsibilities
To provide marine operational support to assigned bulk carrier vessels to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations in accordance with company policies, international maritime regulations, and the Company’s Safety Management System.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ü Monitor vessel operations to ensure safe navigation and compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
ü Ensure vessels comply with applicable regulations including SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, and Flag State requirements.
ü Support vessels in meeting charterer and operational requirements.
ü Prepare vessels for PSC, Flag State, and other inspections.
ü Plan and conduct internal vessel audits and inspections.
ü Monitor certification validity and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
ü Monitor, review, and follow up on incidents, near misses, and non-conformities.
ü Participate in or lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
ü Monitor closure of HSEQ reports and audit findings to support continuous improvement.
ü Provide operational and HSEQ guidance to Masters and crew.
ü Identify training needs and support safety and operational training initiatives.
ü Support contingency and emergency response activities.
ü Act as Company Security Officer (CSO) / Alternate CSO or Designated Person Ashore (DPA) / Alternate DPA when appointed.
ü Support vessel in safe navigation and passage planning.
Candidate Profile
ü Qualified Master Mariner with minimum 24 months experience
ü At least 1 year of experience as a Marine Superintendent handling bulkers with a reputable shipping company
ü Strong understanding operations and regulatory compliance
