The Role
As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will play a critical role in driving statutory reporting and compliance across multiple APAC entities. Reporting indirectly to the Statutory Compliance Lead, you will bridge both technical accounting expertise and practical commercial experience to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in reporting processes.This is a 1-year renewable contract role, offering strong exposure in a regional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with Singapore FRS and local regulations across APAC entities.
- Support monthly and quarterly closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and local finance teams to manage statutory audits and ensure timely filings.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax compliance, including GST and Withholding Tax submissions.
- Assist with clean-up of legacy compliance backlogs (e.g., reconciliations, statutory adjustments).
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a centralised reporting tool to streamline statutory reporting.
- Provide analysis and prepare reporting packages for management and global stakeholders.
- Participate in ad-hoc finance and compliance projects as assigned.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / ACCA qualification preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience combining external audit (Big 4 or mid-tier) AND commercial accounting/reporting experience – both are mandatory.
- Strong understanding of statutory reporting, compliance, and accounting standards.
- Hands-on exposure to monthly close, reconciliations, and statutory filings.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with regional teams.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Oracle Cloud, etc.) is an advantage.
- 1-year renewable contract with potential to extend.
