Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Sales supports the Sales Manager in driving revenue growth, managing client relationships, and overseeing daily sales operations. This role involves team supervision, performance tracking, and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with the Sales Manager to achieve business objectives and revenue growth
  • Support the Sales Manager in meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through proactive sales activities
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to enhance individual and team performance and achieve sales goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to foster loyalty and secure repeat business
  • Monitor sales metrics and prepare regular performance reports to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments
  • Identify new business opportunities and analyze market trends to expand the customer base and increase market share
  • Manage customer inquiries, negotiate terms, and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Conduct training and coaching sessions for junior sales staff to develop their skills and improve team effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and sales processes to maintain operational integrity and standards
Required competencies and certifications
  • Proficient in written and spoken Japanese at a business level to effectively communicate with clients and partners
  • Strong leadership and team management skills demonstrated through supervising and motivating sales teams
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to secure deals and manage client relationships
  • Results-driven with strong analytical skills to evaluate sales data and optimize strategies
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office to manage sales activities and reporting efficiently
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in a supervisory role
