A Guidance Counselor provides academic, emotional, social, and career support to students, helping them navigate personal challenges, mental well-being, and educational goals. They offer one-on-one counseling, conduct group sessions, and collaborate with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment.They also assist in conflict resolution, career planning, and crisis intervention while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. Additionally, they play a key role in implementing school policies related to student welfare, behavior management, and mental health support.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree: In Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience in counseling, education, or a related field, often with a focus on working with children or adolescents.
- Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques.
JOB DETAILS:
- Develop the school's guidance and counselling program.
- Design and implement counselling strategies and interventions to address the diverse academic, social, emotional, and career needs of students.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and stakeholders to identify areas for program enhancement and ensure the effective delivery of counselling services.
- Regularly assess the impact and effectiveness of counselling initiatives through data analysis, student feedback, and outcome evaluations, and make adjustments as needed to improve program outcomes.
