TECHNICIAN/ TECHNICAL OFFICER (ELECTRICAL)

Job Description
  • Attend to work orders allocated by Maintenance Engineers.
  • Analyse process parameters, alarms and information / drawings to diagnose and trouble shoot equipment problems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure that plant equipment and auxiliary systems continue to operate smoothly and efficiently.
  • Perform unit functional test for re-commissioning of overhaul units.
  • Lead in the repair or replacement defective or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
  • Assess spare part requirements and raise purchases, record parts and materials used and review tender quotations.
  • Coordinate logistic arrangement for all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area by practicing organized housekeeping.
  • Preparation of weekly activity reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Nitec / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably possesses 3 years' experience in Engineering or related field.
  • Self-driven, with good working attitude and a good team player.
  • Have a safety mindset and display good workplace safety behavior.
  • Be a part of the CERT team and be actively involved in emergency responses whenever called upon.

TECHNICIAN/ TECHNICAL OFFICER (CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION)

Job Description
  • As a member of the Control and Instrumentation team, you will be responsible for executing maintenance work on instrumentation and control systems in the power plant effectively, efficiently, and to comply with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repair and rectification of equipment failure and malfunction. Test and recommissioning of rectified system or equipment
  • Carry out the overhaul, inspection, calibration, servicing program during plant scheduled outage.
  • Implement modification, upgrading, and installation plans for plant system and equipment for enhancement, availability, and reliability improvement.
  • Maintains detailed work reports, spreadsheets, graphs, plots on computer-based software (Maximo, MS Word, and MS Excel)
  • Assist Engineers and Technical Officers in the maintenance work
  • Supervise contractors under his charge
Qualifications
  • Nitec/Diploma in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Possesses knowledge of Instrumentation
  • Preferably possesses 2 years of experience in Power Plant or Oil and Gas industry
  • Self-driven, with a good working attitude and a good team player
  • Is available on standby after office hours for emergency calls
  • Have a safety mindset and display good workplace safety behavior.

TECHNICIAN/ TECHNICAL OFFICER (GAS PLANT OPERATIONS)

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Combined Cycle Power Plant safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established operational guidelines to meet output requirements.
  • Prepare for, execute, and monitor the startup, shutdown, and routine operations of generation units and auxiliary systems.
  • Carry out condition monitoring, review operating parameters, and correct deviations to m

  • Ensure adherence to the plant's generation dispatch schedule, conducting operational tests and inspections as required.

  • Monitor work areas and inspect tools and equipment to detect and prevent unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
  • Prepare daily shift log reports and other operational reports.
  • Liaise with external agencies (e.g., EMA PSO, PUB, NEA, SCDF) on operational matters during shift duty.
Qualifications
  • Nitec/ Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
  • Knowledge of plant processes, operations, and safety protocols.
  • Relevant experience in power plant operations, or related industries, is advantageous.
  • Possession of a 2nd Grade Engineer (Steam) Certificate of Competency or a 1st Grade Engineer (Steam Combustion Engine) Certificate of Competency awarded by the Ministry of Manpower is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Maximo EAM or equivalent software.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, self-motivated, independent, and a team player.
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
