Senior Executive/Executive Officer, Digital Tech and Innovation (Infrastructure)

Job Summary

The Senior Executive/ Executive Officer supports the leadership team in driving digital and IT initiatives across the organisation. The role covers sourcing and assessing new technologies, managing procurement, and overseeing project implementation and maintenance of digital services.

The officer must possess strong IT project management capabilities, and familiar with IT helpdesk support services, network infrastructure, cybersecurity compliance and Software As A Service.

The incumbent is expected to work between 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisation events.

Key Responsibility Areas

Strategic Plan Implementation
  • Understand and support the leadership team in the execution of the MENDAKI Digital Strategy Plan and Roadmap.
  • Contribute to infrastructure improvement initiatives (e.g. endpoint refresh, network enhancements, security uplift) by translating strategy into operational plans.
  • Track and report progress of infrastructure-related initiatives to management, highlighting risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
Vendor and Contract Management
  • Manage and coordinate vendor providing IT infrastructure, helpdesk, hardware and cybersecurity service.
  • Monitor vendors’ performance and service level agreements.
  • Support procurement activities including quotations, renewals, and contract documentation for infrastructure and security services.
Financial Planning and Management
  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets to ensure cost control and proper utilisation of IT resources.
  • Support HOD inf preparing and managing budgets for IT infrastructure and related services.
  • Track IT assets and support financial reconciliation, ensuring assets are accurately accounted for and align with budget approvals.
Governance and Risk Management
  • Ensure IT infrastructure operation complies with MENDAKI policies, procurements and regulatory requirements.
  • Support identification, assessment and mitigation of infrastructure and cybersecurity risks, including vulnerabilities, incidents and system weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with internal audit and risk teams to ensure effective governance and oversight.
Support and Maintenance
  • Oversee IT helpdesk operations to ensure incidents and service requests are tracked, resolved, and closed within agreed service levels.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, lifecycle management, and inventory control of IT assets including endpoints, peripherals, and infrastructure equipment.
  • Support and coordinate incident management and maintenance activities of out-source services.
Requirements
  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent from any recognised institution.
  • 5 years with strong Project Management experience preferred with ability to lead and drive Independently.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure support on helpdesk operations, asset management, end-user computing and cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience with cloud service; familiarity with Azure and AWS is a plus.
  • Experience in managing budgets, vendors, quality, and timelines.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels.
  • Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, applications, and limitations
  • Knowledge of ethical considerations, regulatory frameworks, and responsible AI best practices
