Application Engineer

We are seeking an Application Engineer to join our technical execution and bridge the gap between sales and delivery. In this role, you will not only learn to design and implement cutting-edge Energy Management (EMS) and Power Quality (PQM) systems but also transform project workflows into streamlined, high-quality engineering outputs.

You will report to the Director of Engineering and play a critical role in digitalising our project delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project planning, coordination, and execution.
• Design and integration of automation systems according to project requirements.
• Graphical design of the electrical network.
• Plan installation schedule with client and installer.
• Testing and commissioning of systems.
• Preparation of project documents and drawings.
• Offsite/onsite Maintenance Contract support.

Candidates should be able to work independently and as team players on simultaneous projects with compressed timelines. Candidates should also expect limited travel to interface with customers and attend or exhibit at conferences and trade shows.

Requirements:

• A candidate with a minimum & relevant engineering certification e.g. Degree, in the Engineering field (Electrical or Power and automation) is preferable.
• Experience/knowledge in HVAC, SCADA, PLC, and HMI in a Building Management System, Power Quality Management System, or Energy Management System.
• Knowledge of data communication and automation systems for electrical networks.
• Knowledge and experience in IT networking and server/VM setup are an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in Power Quality Meter and Power Quality Monitoring Systems is a plus.
• Required skill(s): Microsoft Office, Savvy in various computer skills such as computer networking, setting up new PC/VMs, and knowledge of electrical systems.
• Mature and able to handle tasks independently, result-oriented, and self-driven team player with good communication skills.
• Good personality, responsible, hardworking person.
• Fast learner and good soft skills.
• Ability to work as a team, lead and supervise the contractors.
• Experience in people and team management in administrative and functional aspects.
• Process excellent team spirit and good leadership.
