Business Analyst (Insurance)

Our client, a leading insurance provider, is seeking a Business Analyst to support business process re-engineering initiatives across core insurance functions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to analyze existing processes, identify gaps, and drive improvements that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and elevate customer experience.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze and document current ("as-is") processes across underwriting, claims, policy administration, and customer service.
• Lead Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) efforts to redesign and optimize end-to-end workflows.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs to gather detailed business and system requirements.
• Develop process maps, business requirement documents, and functional specifications.
• Identify process inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and opportunities for enhancement.
• Partner with IT, digital, and transformation teams to translate business needs into system enhancements or process changes.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), change management activities, and implementation efforts.
• Ensure that redesigned processes comply with regulatory, risk, and compliance standards within the insurance sector.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with strong exposure to Business Process Re-engineering.
• Prior experience in the insurance industry (life, general, or health insurance preferred).
• Strong understanding of insurance processes such as claims, underwriting, and the policy lifecycle.
• Experience in transformation, automation, or system implementation projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in documenting processes using BPMN, Visio, or similar tools.
