Visual Arts Instructor (1 year contract)

Main / Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop, implement and teach visual arts curriculum both children and adult (onsite, offsite and online).
  2. Conduct art facilitation training sessions for new and existing art instructors.
  3. Co-ordinate with art teachers on their schedule.
  4. Organize activities and event to promote visual art programmes and to meet enrolment targets.
  5. Handle administrative support such as class scheduling, registration and enrolment of students, data entry and collaterals administration.
  6. Handle enquiries or complaints promptly.
  7. Manage material inventory.
Duties / Tasks
  1. Constant improvement of visual arts curriculum to be aligned to market needs and achieve
curriculum USP.
  1. Engage with service providers where necessary to expand programmes offerings.
  2. Assist in managing a pool of art teachers, oversee their class delivery and their schedules.
  3. Improve work processes to ensure work flow efficiency at the studio.
  4. Handle parents enquires/complaints/feedbacks in the capacity as the subject expert.
  5. Ensure timely and appropriate response (3 working days) to customer enquiries/complaints.
  6. Provide administrative support in enrolment drive, marketing and promotion activities.
  7. To improve enrolment, conversion, class optimization while reducing mid-course drop-off
(timely renewal notice) and late payment rate (80% of payment is received before term start).
  1. Ensure audit compliance for Canvas Ark’s operations.
  2. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Certification/Diploma in Fine Arts, Design or related field.
  • Possess teaching experience in art.
  • Able to work on weekends.
  • Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, possess initiative and keen sense of accountability.
  • Good relationship and customer focus skill.
  • Able to travel to different locations in Singapore when required.
  • Singaporeans only.
  • Vacancy for 1 x Full-time (work location at Choa Chu Kang) and 1 x Part-Time (work location at Toa Payoh).
