Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Operations to lead the operations, maintenance, safety, and compliance activities within a railway testing and operational environment.
This role will oversee daily operations across testing tracks, workshops, and engineering facilities while supporting strategic and business initiatives together with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Facility Management- Lead daily operations and maintenance activities across railway testing facilities
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations within the test centre
- Drive operational improvements, maintenance planning, and asset management initiatives
- Oversee resource planning and operational readiness
- Ensure compliance with railway safety, operational, and regulatory standards
- Manage operational risk and safety processes for railway infrastructure and testing activities
- Prepare operational and compliance reports for management and stakeholders
- Lead and develop operations and engineering teams
- Promote a strong safety culture and operational excellence mindset
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams on operational initiatives
- Support collaboration with government agencies, contractors, OEMs, and industry partners
- Assist management in business development activities, operational planning, and project support
- Provide operational input for new railway services and testing projects
- Degree in Engineering, Transport, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 – 12 years of experience in railway operations, train testing, infrastructure, or related industries
- Strong experience in operations, facility management, safety, and compliance
- Proven experience leading technical or operational teams
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong leadership and operational management skills
- Good planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Able to manage high-value operational environments with strong safety focus
- Collaborative and able to work across operations, engineering, and business teams
