About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and meticulous Senior Accountant with strong expertise in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local tax compliance, along with hands-on experience in managing a full set of accounts.
Operations Setup, Support & Team Development- Assist in managing the daily operations of the Singapore office, ensuring smooth financial and operational processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the setup and integration of financial systems and workflows
- Foster a collaborative, efficient, and growth-oriented team culture as the Singapore office scales
- Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with SFRS and IFRS
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, statutory requirements, and regulatory reporting obligations
- Oversee GST submissions, corporate income tax calculations, and liaise with external tax advisors
- Ensure timely and accurate filings with authorities including IRAS and ACRA
- Stay informed of updates to local tax, SFRS, and IFRS developments
- Support the coordination of annual statutory audits and assist with external auditor requests
- Assist in maintaining internal controls, process documentation, and compliance procedures
- Help ensure audit readiness and proper filing of supporting financial documents
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for management reporting
- Collaborate with internal departments and regional teams on intercompany transactions and group reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent in a relevant field
- Previous work experience in Big 4 is highly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience handling full set accounts and financial reporting
- Solid knowledge of Singapore tax system, SFRS, and IFRS
- Proficient in common accounting software and Microsoft office/Google
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Able to work independently with a high level of responsibility and attention to detail
- Fluent in English and Chinese to liaise with regional stakeholders
