Research Associate (Health and Behavioural Research)
We are seeking a full-time Research Associate to join our team at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH), National University of Singapore (NUS). The National University of Singapore (NUS) is a leading global institution known for high-impact research, innovative education, and thought leadership.The School works closely with government agencies, healthcare institutions, and international partners to develop evidence-based solutions that inform policy and advance public health in Singapore and the region. We are inviting a motivated Research Associate to join our interdisciplinary project examining decision-making of patients and representatives in healthcare settings.
Job scope:- Contribute to the development of study protocols and prepare and coordinate research ethics applications.
- Design and conduct quantitative, qualitative and behavioural research; analyse, interpret, and compile data for both presentations and scholarly outputs.
- Coordinate participant recruitment and data collection (surveys, experiment, interviews).
- Contribute to preparation and writing of research manuscripts and conference abstracts/posters.
- Support the dissemination of research outcomes through appropriate channels and outlets including clinical guidance.
- Assist with project management tasks.
- Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area including Psychology, Health Services Research, Medical Anthropology, Biomedical Ethics, Medical Social Work, Nursing.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English, as the candidate will be required to interact with English-speaking participants, write scientific papers for publication in international peer reviewed journals, and present work undertaken to different audience.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting human subject research.
- Demonstrated experience and high capability in qualitative (interviews) and/or quantitative (survey and behavioural/psychological experiment) research and data analysis.
- Experience in publishing in peer-reviewed international journals.
- Highly organized and able to work effectively independently as well as with a team.
- Research experience/background in patient/clinical decision making is highly regarded
- Field experience in Singapore
