- This role would involve fire risk assessments, smoke control calculations, and system design analyses, as well as promoting safe working practices and collaborating with other engineers and contractors.
- Fire Risk Assessments and Smoke Control: Conduct assessments to identify potential fire hazards and design smoke control systems to meet local codes and standards
- System Design: Design and analyze fire protection systems (e.g., sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems) to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with regulations
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all fire protection systems are designed and installed according to local codes, international standards, and authority requirements
- Project Execution: Supervise project execution, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work
- Collaboration: Liaise with QA/QC engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure fire protection systems are designed, installed, and commissioned according to specifications and quality standards
- Safe Working Practices: Promote and ensure safe working practices on construction sites to protect the health and safety of employees and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field,
- Experience in designing and installing fire protection systems in relevant industries (e.g., semiconductors, biopharma).
- Familiarity with Singapore's fire protection codes, standards, and regulations
