Leading global prop trading firm seeking a Senior Trading Systems Engineer to join its APAC-based trading technology team. This role sits at the intersection of trading, infrastructure and software development, helping provide smooth support to mission-critical systems for global markets.

Sitting at the heart of the business, you will be responsible for ensuring reliability and performance for a world-class trading ecosystem. This is a fast-paced, technically demanding and highly collaborative role offering significant responsibility and ownership.

This role would suit an engineer with 5+ years' experience in a trade support or SRE role in a production environment who enjoys solving complex time-sensitive problems in close proximity to live trading.

Requirements

5+ years' experience working in trade support, SRE or related fields
Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related/relevant field
Basic knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and common network troubleshooting tools
Familiarity with trading platforms & financial markets
Experience working in a production Kubernetes environment
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks
Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments

Responsibilities

Maintaining the health and availability of a world class trading ecosystem
Responding to support requests from our traders and software engineers
Liaising with external trading partners including financial exchanges and clearing firms to resolve technical problems
Onboarding new trading desks, systems and technologies
