Responsibilities:

1. Production Line Quality & Process Improvement (20%)

• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for production nonconformities and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and analyze key quality metrics such as First Pass Yield (FPY), Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal process standards.
• Collaborate closely with Production teams to resolve in-line quality issues and drive manufacturing process improvements.

1. Customer Site Quality Issues & Zero-Hour Claims (15%)

• Lead zero-hour failure investigations and coordinate with Engineering and Service teams to identify failure modes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage pre-service claim resolutions, including issues identified during data center commissioning and site acceptance tests (SATs).
• Prepare technical failure reports for customer communication and warranty processing.

1. Outgoing Product Inspection & Customer Witness Testing (15%)

• Oversee final product inspections, ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and customer expectations.
• Validate and approve generator set (genset) test reports before shipment.
• Supervise customer witness testing and address any non-conformances or discrepancies on-site.

1. Development & Reliability Testing (10%)

• Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to define QA test plans for new product development.
• Supervise performance, functional, and reliability testing of gensets, ensuring comprehensive validation.
• Provide feedback to design teams based on quality test outcomes and field failure data.

1. Internal & Cross-Functional Support (20%)

• Act as a key liaison among Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure cohesive quality assurance processes.
• Guide and mentor Quality Engineers in best practices for RCA, CAPA, and quality standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on reducing warranty claims and enhancing product quality.

1. ISO & Quality System Compliance (15%)

• Serve as an ISO 9001 process owner or internal auditor, supporting audits and compliance efforts.
• Contribute to Management Review Meetings through the preparation of quality performance reports and follow-up on action items.
• Maintain and manage quality documentation to ensure readiness for third-party and customer audits.

1. Other Duties (5%)

• Support environmental and safety compliance in alignment with ISO 14001.
• Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager or senior leadership.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Production Quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in diesel generator sets, heavy machinery, or electrical power systems is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of genset manufacturing, assembly, and validation processes.
• Proficient in RCA tools (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, 8D) and CAPA methodologies.
• Experienced in failure analysis, troubleshooting, and customer-facing quality engagements.
