Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and service-oriented Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to coffee craftsmanship, specialty non-alcoholic beverage preparation, and delivering an exceptional guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.

This role requires strong technical barista skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Drinks & Beverage Preparation Excellence

Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee in accordance with established recipe standards

Prepare premium non-alcoholic beverages including teas, matcha, chocolate drinks, cold brews, specialty sodas, and seasonal signature drinks

Perform daily calibration of espresso machines and grinders to ensure optimal extraction and consistency

Maintain excellence in taste, temperature, texture, and visual presentation

Create refined and visually appealing latte art

Ensure all beverages meet quality and presentation standards before serving

Customer Experience

Deliver warm, professional, and attentive service to every guest

Confidently recommend beverages and provide product knowledge to enhance the guest experience

Handle customer inquiries and feedback with positivity and professionalism

Build rapport with regular customers and contribute to a welcoming café atmosphere

Operational Duties

Follow opening and closing procedures accurately

Operate POS systems responsibly

Assist with stock replenishment and inventory control

Monitor ingredient levels and communicate shortages promptly

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar, equipment, counters, and service areas

Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

Strong understanding of coffee varieties and preparation techniques

Skilled in latte art and beverage presentation

Food Safety Certification (mandatory)

Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and consistency

Self-motivated and able to work efficiently under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong customer service orientation

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
