Tax Manager / Senior Manager - Professional Services - Toa Payoh
The Company
A global professional services firm with one of the largest tax practices in Singapore, is seeking to hire experienced tax professionals to deliver end-to-end advisory, compliance, and reporting solutions to leading banks, asset managers, insurers, and real estate funds.
The Role
As Manager / Senior Manager in the Financial Services Tax team, you will lead engagements and provide expert advice on complex tax and reporting matters. You will work with clients across banking, asset & wealth management, insurance, and real estate to support compliance, transactions, and strategic tax planning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver tax advisory and compliance services to top-tier financial institutions
- Provide guidance on corporate tax, IFRS/GAAP, and financial instrument taxation (incl. IFRS 9 / ECL)
- Review client tax positions and identify planning opportunities
- Support clients through M&A, IPOs, and other capital market transactions
- Develop policies, documentation, and reporting frameworks
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to new business development
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or Law; SCTP or CPA/CA preferred
- 6+ years' tax experience for Manager; 8+ years for Senior Manager
- Open to candidates from non-FS tax background seeking to gain exposure to FS clients
- Strong technical expertise in corporate tax compliance and advisory, ideally covering financial institutions
- Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Team player with a proactive and adaptable mindset
