About Us

At BYD Singapore, we are leading the transformation of mobility through innovative electric passenger vehicles that deliver performance, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology. As part of our rapid expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead and scale our passenger vehicle (PV) business in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive the overall sales strategy and performance for BYD’s electric passenger vehicles in Singapore.
  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve sales targets, market share growth, and profitability objectives.
  • Oversee retail and distribution channels, including showrooms, dealerships, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales team, ensuring strong execution and accountability.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Work closely with HQ to align on product strategy, pricing, supply planning, and new model launches.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, corporate clients, and partners, to drive EV adoption.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Aftersales, and Operations teams to ensure seamless customer experience and brand positioning.
  • Monitor sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and governance standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong track record in driving sales growth and managing large-scale sales operations.
  • Experience in passenger vehicles, EVs, or automotive distribution is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese to liaise with China HQ and regional stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
