Compliance Manager – Physical Commodities Trading

About Client:

• Singapore-based physical commodities trading company engaged in sourcing, trading, and distribution across regional and international markets. We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee and strengthen our compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities

o Develop and maintain compliance policies and internal controls in line with Singapore regulatory requirements

o Manage KYC/AML processes and conduct due diligence on counterparties, customers, and business partners

o Monitor transactions and report suspicious activities to relevant authorities

o Ensure compliance with trade sanctions, embargoes, and export control regulations

o Prepare and submit regulatory filings and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)

o Conduct compliance risk assessments and internal audits

o Provide compliance training and awareness to staff

o Act as the point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors

Requirements

o Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

o Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a compliance role

o Strong knowledge of KYC/AML procedures, sanctions screening, and CTF regulations

o Familiarity with Singapore regulatory frameworks (MAS guidelines, CDSA)

o Professional certifications (ICA, ACAMS) are a plus

o Experience in physical commodities trading environment is highly preferred

o Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

o Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
