Manager/Assistant Manager – Corporate Affairs (Corporate Secretarial)

Job Description:

  • Carry out the full spectrum of corporate secretarial function and listing compliance duties
  • Preparation for, conduct of, and recording of board and shareholder meetings
  • Provide corporate secretarial advice to business units, management and board as needed
  • Liaise effectively with board and shareholders on board and shareholder matters, and execution of mandates
  • Observe adherence to established policies and procedures to ensure a strong corporate structure
  • Introduce and implement best practices in governance and all other aspects of corporate secretarial function
  • Maintain and ensure timely completion of corporate actions and other processes essential to ensuring statutory compliance in relevant jurisdictions
  • Participate in new initiatives and ad-hoc projects
  • Actively participate in the development of the quality management system and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures

Requirement:

  • Qualified as a Chartered Secretary. Those currently pursuing the qualification (Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme – CGQP) may also be considered for the Assistant Manager role.
  • Minimum 6 years of corporate secretarial experience for Assistant Manager level and 8 years for Manager level
  • Knowledge of company law, and practical knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory framework governing any stock exchange is an advantage
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent English language skills – written and verbal
  • Mature and self-motivated
