Field Sampling Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect field samples (soil, water, sediment, etc.) following standard procedures.
• Prepare sample labels, chain-of-custody forms, and field logs.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintain accurate records and field notes updating at the end of each working day.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of sampling equipment and tools.
• Assist with setting up and dismantling field sites.
• Perform general labor tasks including loading/unloading equipment, basic site maintenance, and assisting other team members.
• Generate reports including evaluation, discussion and reporting of the test results to clients.
• Follow health and safety protocols in all activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor/management.

Qualifications

• Nitec/Higher Nitec Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving license
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Able to write and communicate in English.
• Self-driven, team player with initiative, willingness to learn and good communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced working environment, and able to multi-task.
• Able to commit OT.
• Training will be provided.
