Power Platform Business Analyst

Job Overview

We are seeking a technically grounded Business Analyst with strong PowerApps experience to support the design, enhancement, and delivery of business applications on the Microsoft Power Platform. This role operates at the intersection of business process optimization and low-code solution delivery, translating operational needs into scalable, secure, and user-centric PowerApps solutions.

The successful candidate is comfortable working closely with business stakeholders, Power Platform developers, and IT teams, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, technically feasible, and aligned with enterprise governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage business users and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for PowerApps solutions
• Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for digitization, automation, and efficiency improvements

• Work closely with PowerApps developers to ensure requirements are accurately implemented
• Support solution design across PowerApps, Power Automate, and related Power Platform components
• Validate application behavior, data flows, and business rules against requirements
• Support application enhancements, change requests, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Work with data sources such as SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, or other enterprise systems
• Support data validation, issue analysis, and functional troubleshooting
• Collaborate with technical teams on integration touchpoints and downstream system dependencies

• Prepare test scenarios and support SIT and UAT activities
• Coordinate defect triage, clarification, and resolution with development teams
• Support deployment readiness and post go-live stabilization activities

• Maintain clear documentation including requirements, process flows, solution designs, and user guides
• Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, and Power Platform governance standards
• Support audit and operational readiness for business-critical applications

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting application development or digital transformation initiatives
• Hands-on exposure to Microsoft PowerApps and the broader Power Platform ecosystem
• Strong understanding of business process analysis and requirements documentation
• Experience working with data sources such as SharePoint, Dataverse, or SQL
• Familiarity with Agile or SDLC delivery methodologies

• Ability to translate business requirements into technically actionable specifications
• Comfortable validating application logic, workflows, and data behavior
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to collaborate across business, development, and IT teams
• Structured, delivery-focused mindset with strong ownership and accountability

• Experience with Power Automate or Power BI
• Exposure to enterprise governance or regulated environments
