Pharmacy Assistant
About the role
We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to provide on-site administrative support. We need help to support our doctors and patients who are using DA’s 24/7 tele-consultation service. This will predominantly be a hands-on, operational role.
Your role as an assistant will be to help us maintain our promise of delivery standards and quality to our patients by preparing the medications at the fulfillment center for delivery, as well as assisting in troubleshooting operational matters that may arise in the process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, is able to work well with others and deals well with ambiguity or change especially in a start-up environment. We are also looking for someone who is willing to learn and adapt to high-tempo operations, and takes the initiative to help the team
This role is based in Tai Seng, Singapore reports directly to the Manager, Virtual Care.
A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Organize and lead other assistants on a rotational basis in daily operations
- Processing prescriptions electronically
- Preparing and arranging the medications for delivery
- Working closely with our operations team and delivery partners to ensure that medications are delivered smoothly and on time
- Assist the manager or executives in managing and maintaining the inventory
- Maintaining facilities and equipment as assigned by the manager
- Participate in improvement projects to enhance and optimize the quality of the service
- To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Able to work on a shift basis, including overnight shifts (shift allowance will be provided for overnight shifts), weekends and public holidays
- Familiar with medication with prior experience working in a pharmacy/clinic/warehouse setting
- Computer literacy; comfortable with managing computer systems
- Attention to detail and meticulousness is a must
- Able to work well in a team and communicate well with others in a high-tempo environment
- You have unquestioned integrity and high standards in the work you do
- A strong sense of responsibility and accountability for your work
- Keen on learning more about healthcare operations and helping out in adjunct administrative duties
- Familiarity with Plato or other clinic management systems is a bonus
- A start-up attitude – highly collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, pragmatic, and able to work independently when required
- Comfortable with ambiguity - we're a fast-growing business and there are always unchartered territories, which is part of the fun. You should be comfortable with it and understand that not everything is 100% defined all the time.
