Business Functional Analyst – Capital Markets Transformation
We are seeking a Business Functional Analyst – Capital Markets Transformation to support strategic transformation initiatives across the Bank’s Capital Markets business lines.
The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office stakeholders, Dealers, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to analyse business needs, improve processes, and deliver transformation initiatives. The role requires strong capital markets domain knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex business objectives into actionable functional requirements.
This role will collaborate closely with the Capital Markets Transformation Programme Lead to drive operating model improvements, streamline processes, and support high-impact change programmes aligned with business and client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering- Engage with stakeholders across trading, sales, operations, risk, and IT to understand current state processes, systems, and operational pain points.
- Analyse business requirements across asset classes including Structured Products, FX, Equities, and Fixed Income.
- Document high-quality business and functional requirements aligned with transformation initiatives.
- Develop process maps, business workflows, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate communication across multiple teams to build alignment on scope, solution design, and implementation decisions.
- Work closely with Front Office stakeholders and business users to ensure solutions meet operational and business needs.
- Provide structured updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal development teams and external vendors to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Manage change requests and coordinate with vendors to address production issues raised by business users.
- Support rollout and implementation of revised business processes and workflows.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate business requirements.
- Prepare test cases, test data, and testing documentation.
- Support business users during UAT and training activities.
- Support the Capital Markets Transformation Programme Lead in shaping target operating models and transformation priorities.
- Contribute to process re-engineering and operational improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Experience- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Analysis within Capital Markets, Investments, or Banking environments.
- Experience working on transformation or change-the-bank initiatives.
- Strong exposure to Front Office projects and stakeholder engagement.
- Good understanding of Capital Markets products and processes, particularly:
- Structured Products
- FX
- Equities
- Fixed Income
- Knowledge of pre-trade and post-trade capture processes.
- Experience with FinIQ platform is an advantage.
- University degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Strong business analysis and requirements documentation skills.
- Experience in process mapping, workflow design, and operating model improvements.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams including Front Office, Operations, Technology, and Risk.
