Part-Time Lecturer for Information Visualization—DD0003

The School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, invites qualified candidates to apply as Part-time Lecturer for Information Visualization—DD0003. The Part-time Lecturer is expected to teach an undergraduate course commencing in January 2025.

DD0003 Information Visualization is a 13-week introductory course, that initiates students to the fundamental concepts of the practice of information visualization. Students explore fundamental visual design techniques to interpret, organize and present visual interpretations for different forms of data.

The learnings achieved in this course helps expand students’ understanding on how complex information can be communicated meaningfully and clearly through visualization to inspire greater empathy and understanding from an audience. designing and developing for the web with a focus on front-end design.

Successful candidates will have a

Masters and/or PhD in Design Art, or related field of study, with a track record of creative practice. Any past teaching experience at Undergraduate Level is preferred.
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in information Visualization or Design Art with sufficient and relevant industry experience may also be considered in exceptional cases.
