• Follow purchasing policy in all purchases.
• Purchasing daily routines and ensuring materials are from approved vendors.
• Planning of raw materials delivery according to the production schedule.
• Ensure inventory delivery is planned with no risk of stock out and maintain raw material inventory at optimum level.
• Bring on board new suppliers where the current supply is limited.
• Track materials prices and savings on each purchase.
• Management of contracts to ensure all contracts are valid. Lead the contract negotiation and improve the price, payment terms, and services.
• Systematic selection and qualification of vendors through pre-selection checklist.
• Compare spot freight rates from carriers/forwarders. Assign the most competitive rate to the commercial team. Problem-solving / liaising with relevant freight issues.
