Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to strategize and coordinate the School's efforts to build lasting strategic partnerships and increase cooperation with government entities and beyond in Southeast Asia. This role will be pivotal in enabling the strengthening and expansion of the School's partnership network in the ASEAN region, which is a key strategic priority for the School and the university.
In addition to strategic responsibilities, this role supports the School's senior leadership in their engagements with partners and stakeholders in Southeast Asian countries. Moreover, this role analyses trends and developments in Southeast Asian countries to identify opportunities and suitable partners for the School's engagement efforts.

Job Description
ASEAN Partnership Strategy: In collaboration with other departments of the School, develop and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy for expanding the School's network in Southeast Asia, especially with the public sector.
Coordination: Coordinate the collective efforts of the School's various departments and research centres in building and strengthening partnerships in Southeast Asia.
Analysis: Analyse internal needs, emerging trends, and policy environment in individual Southeast Asian countries and the whole ASEAN region, and insights from interlocutors to enable the School to seize opportunities in a timely manner.
Engagement: Supports the School's senior leadership in building and nurturing relationships with strategic partners and key stakeholders in Southeast Asia. Leverage these connections to increase and amplify the School's mindshare.
Liaison: Be a primary point of contact for the School's Research Centres and support them in their interactions with government agencies in Southeast Asian countries.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in any field. Master's degree would be an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in government relations, preferably with experience working with government agencies in Southeast Asian countries.
- Proven track record in strategizing and building strategic partnerships with government entities and beyond.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner. Proficiency in Southeast Asian languages would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate efforts across various internal stakeholders to maximise synergy.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Creative thinking and a passion for monitoring trends and developments in Southeast Asia.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate smoothly in all Southeast Asian countries.
- Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and ability to handle ambiguity.
- Collaborate effectively with other teams and senior executives.
- Must love ideas.
