Job Description
- Responsible for managing and maintaining all building services, including civil, structural, and infrastructure works such as external and internal walls, repairs, painting, service pipes, walkways, ramps, staircases, hand railings, roads and related elements, shelters, canopies, partitions, false ceilings, architectural finishes (tiles, vinyl, epoxy flooring), drainage systems (internal and external), plumbing, sanitary and sewer systems, as well as inspection of building structures and coordination with Professional Engineers for certification, ensuring all works are carried out safely and in compliance with approved safety procedures.
- Review service reports and escalate any finding or action that is required
- Ensure all system are statutory compliance.
- Provide hands-on support and supervisory advice to technicians on building system related activities and troubleshooting activities.
- Review, update and maintain building system drawings, etc.
- Manage and guide a team of Technicians in attending to breakdown calls.
- Investigate and determine root cause of faults and report
- Assist Engineer in various activities, including conducting engineering and root cause analysis on poor-performing equipment, preparing and submitting incident reports, reviewing the performance of technical officers and technicians, developing duty rosters, implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs in compliance with standards and regulations, inspecting building systems for serviceability, supporting development and testing of SOPs/EOPs, providing training to technicians, participating in client site walkabouts, and performing additional tasks as instructed by the Manager, ensuring all work is carried out safely and effectively.
- Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC or Diploma in FM discipline related discipline or relevant Facilities Management discipline.
- NITEC - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience; Higher NITEC – Minimum 5 of relevant experience; Diploma – Minimum 3 of relevant experience
- Pro-active, ability to prioritize work and achieve desired result
- Independent, able to work with minimum supervision and have a good understanding of critical workflow
- Able to commit to 5.5 days work week with staggered rest days implemented due to operational requirements
- Able to response and mobilse on site in the event whereby the breakdown requires after office hours and/or weekends.
- Ability to take initiative and effectively operate with general direction.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and analytical skills.
- Independent, able to work with minimum supervision and have a good understanding of critical workflow
