Senior Design Manager (Property Development)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee project design from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with quality standards, timelines, and budgets
• Manage client relationships and maintain high levels of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
• Drive innovative and sustainable design solutions aligned with project requirements
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, environmental standards, and operational requirements
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and authorities to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project progress
• Plan and coordinate trade schedules, finishes, and integration with structural and M&E components
• Review drawings, material samples, method statements, BIM models, and coordination outputs during construction and post-construction stages
• Evaluate material submissions, shop drawings, mock-ups, and variation orders related to builder works
• Manage multi-disciplinary design consultants to ensure design excellence, quality, and adherence to project briefs and company standards
• Support the selection and evaluation of designers, lighting, signage, and specialist consultants
• Conduct audit checks to assess TOP (Temporary Occupation Permit) readiness

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field recognized by BOA Singapore
• Minimum 15 years of experience in design and project management, with a proven track record in leading large-scale projects and teams
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools
• Strong knowledge of building codes, sustainability practices, and construction methodologies
• Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with clients and project stakeholders
