Our client is a leading European MNC specializing in the design and development of high-tech systems such as assembly equipment, machine control systems, and medical devices. Their Singapore office serves as a key Development Centre, and they are currently looking for the following position:
Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer (C++ - Machine Control / Equipment Control)
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to understand and clarify software requirements.
- Support software design, development, testing, and implementation for machine control and automation systems.
- Participate in software architecture and system design discussions together with senior engineers.
- Develop and maintain software applications using C++ and object-oriented programming principles.
- Assist in documenting software requirements and designs using UML tools.
- Perform software debugging, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software quality.
- Work within an Agile/Scrum development environment and contribute to user story development across the software stack.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in software development, preferably in industrial automation, machine control systems, or high-tech equipment.
- Experience in C++ programming and object-oriented software development.
- Familiarity with UML tools, software design principles, and common design patterns.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication abilities.
- Candidates with experience in control systems, embedded systems, or equipment software development will have an added advantage.
