Job Description:
- Responsible for filing necessary applications and handling all government interactions pertaining to the regulation process for products requiring governmental approval.
- Liaise with local authorities to provide relevant legislation and compliance requirement so as to advise suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide guidelines for the required documents to the supplier management team for new product screening.
- Assist to develop procedures to ensure regulatory compliance as and when required.
- Provide directions for developing, implementing, and maintaining the regulatory permit/license to comply with and meet the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) requirements
- Handle regulatory documentation of pet food and pet care products
- Feedback suppliers’ queries and difficulties to the respective governmental agency so as to resolve an issue.
- Provide advice to a supplier if there are changes in the existing product formula/ label/ manufacturer/ manufacture address/ export country/factory name etc.
- Liaise with the overseas partners (franchisees) in the regional level, as well as the regulatory agencies to provide relevant legislation and compliance requirement to suppliers.
- Feedback to our overseas partners (franchisees) regarding suppliers’ queries and difficulties so as to resolve an issue.
- Application for Import licenses with agencies in charge when needed (Animal & Veterinary Service-AVS; Health Science Authority-HAS; National Environment Agency-NEA etc)
- Ensure proper maintenance of the dossiers and documents.
- Maintain and manage the regulatory system to comply with requirements and international regulatory requirements.
- Provide advice on any regulatory related issue and assist on other relevant issues in the capacity of a pet food/pet care products.
- Keep track of changes in country's regulatory requirements and provide regulatory intelligence to the management and the relevant teams.
- Collaborate with internal partners (Supplier Management, Demand planning, Logistic, Marketing, Operations teams etc) to ensure regulatory compliance in achieving business objectives
- Submit product notification to the Health Science Authority (HSA) and ensure product labelling compliance.
- A degree is preferred and with 2-3 years working experience.
- Regulatory affair experience in any industry isn't a must, but an advantage
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment
- Ability to distil complex issues and help formulate solutions
- Agile and possess a growth mindset
- Good knowledge and understanding of the AVS’ rules and regulations.
- Must be meticulous with good organization and time management skills.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with strong collaborative team spirit.
- Able to work independently with tight deadlines.
