The Role

Sunset Hospitality is seeking a passionate, creative, and adaptable Social Media Specialist & Content Creator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in crafting and executing content strategies that bring our brand to life across social media platforms.

From scripting to shooting to editing, you’ll be behind the lens and in front of the trends—creating compelling short-form content that resonates with audiences in the F&B and hospitality space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage engaging, on-brand content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Capture eye-catching visuals—food, beverages, team culture, and events included.
  • Own the end-to-end content creation process: photography, videos, stories, reels, animations, and more.
  • Build and update a monthly bank of visual assets to support upcoming campaigns and activations.
  • Lead content shoots from creative concept and moodboarding to execution—ensuring alignment with brand tone and storytelling goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for third-party agencies shooting at our venues.
  • Adapt and format content for a variety of social media specifications.
  • Collaborate with chefs and outlet managers to showcase new menus, events, and seasonal happenings.
  • Partner with PR and marketing teams on influencer activations and promotional efforts.
  • Keep a pulse on social media trends and propose innovative content ideas.
  • Maintain a well-organized monthly content calendar.
  • Engage with our online community—responding to guest messages, comments, and feedback.
  • Support the execution of a unified social media strategy in line with brand objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing social media within the hospitality or F&B industry
  • Background in lifestyle, dining, or hospitality content creation
  • Deep passion for hospitality, food culture, and digital storytelling
  • Solid grasp of content trends and major social platforms
  • Proficient in photography, video shooting, and editing
  • Strong social listening and community engagement skills
  • Confident copywriter with excellent editing capabilities
  • Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar creative tools
