Job Summary:
The Senior Manager is responsible for the development and management of the Policy framework, EIR polices, processes, employee & labour relations advocacy. This position interfaces with employees, HR Partners, managers, supervisors, unions and government agencies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing EIR polices & processes.
- Collaborate and partner legal and risk office in the management of end-to-end staff disciplinary cases including sanctions & terminations.
- Provide advisories to HR partners, managers and supervisors in best employee and labour relations practices, and strategies for managing sensitive supervisor problems and employee grievances. management with performance concerns, disciplinary action and conflict management issues.
- Assist to manage staff’s external interests/commitments and resolve potential or actual conflicts.
- Provide advisories to HR partners, staff, managers and supervisors on conflict of interest & staff’s external interests/commitments.
- Participates in union/arbitration meetings and negotiations.
- Researches and explains employment legislations to HR partners, managers, supervisors, and employees.
- Assist to create a data base of staff disciplinary cases for dashboard reporting, trend analysis & prediction.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Possess knowledge of employment legislations.
- Ability to comprehend and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Three to five years of experience in a position of responsibility.
