Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Install, test, and implement systems in accordance with specifications and service level requirements, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Manage system changes using established change request processes, including impact assessment, approvals, and stakeholder communication.
Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and proactively implement preventive measures. Continuously monitor effectiveness and refine solutions as needed.
Develop and maintain comprehensive service continuity measures, including backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plans, to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Provide expert technical guidance and support to customers and project teams, assisting in decision-making and resolving complex technical issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
PSIM (Physical Security Information System)
CCTV surveillance systems
Access control systems
Alarm and intrusion systems
Network infrastructure
Perform backend system configuration and setup, including:
CIS hardening for Windows and Linux servers
Linux server configuration:
User account management with limited privileges (sudoers)
SSH configuration (sshd_config)
Password control (chage, passwd)
Server restoration using REAR
Perform basic computer and network maintenance.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma / Degree in:
Electrical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Information Technology (IT)
(or equivalent from a recognized institution)

Skills & Competencies

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to clearly and concisely explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong technical background in systems and infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows server configuration
Familiarity with security systems and network infrastructure
Proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills
Effective communicator who can bridge technical and business needs
