Assistant electrical engineer - Bukit Merah

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Electrical Engineer to support the. This role involves working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Support the preparation of electrical drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Perform calculations for power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems.
- Assist in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems to identify issues and ensure proper operation.
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of electrical designs, changes, and procedures.
- Ensure all work adheres to relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), standards, and best practices.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Degree
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op positions are a plus).
- Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and codes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical design software.
- Familiarity with tools such as ETAP, MATLAB, or similar simulation software is a plus.
- Basic understanding of power systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
Other:
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- EIT certification (or in progress) is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards and electrical regulations.
