Cost Account (Team Leader/Manufacturing) @ SGD 83,000 - Bukit Merah

My client is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to lead a small team in optimizing manufacturing cost efficiency and financial reporting. This role requires an analytical professional with 4 - 5 years of experience in cost accounting, particularly in a manufacturing environment, who can guide a team in conducting cost analysis, budgeting, and inventory valuation to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze cost structures across production and operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficiency.
• Lead monthly inventory valuation and reconcile discrepancies to maintain financial integrity and cost accuracy.
• Develop and enhance cost control measures, focusing on both inventory and broader operational expenses to improve profitability.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting, integrating insights from inventory trends and overall cost analysis.
• Supervise and mentor a team of two cost accountants, supporting professional development in cost analysis and inventory valuation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and finance, to enhance cost-tracking systems and operational decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5 - 7 years of experience in cost accounting within manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing small teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and drive process improvements.
