Our client is a global leader in the retail industry. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the Store Planning Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment to deliver world-class shopping and dining experiences. This role requires a strategic vision and strong business acumen to create award-winning designs that optimize commercial success while adhering to brand guidelines.
You will also be a key partner for Business Development, supporting concession renewals, new tenders, and special initiatives to enable profitable and sustainable growth. Your final responsibility will be to drive innovation in retail and dining concepts, adopting new technologies to ensure best-in-class customer experiences and maintain our leadership position.
job responsibilities- Contribute to global strategy by actively participating in Global Store Planning and Innovation communities.
- Lead the design and adaptation of stores, restaurants, and offices, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and the commercial vision, including Visual Merchandising, graphics, and music direction.
- Drive innovation in store planning, implementing circular design and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with landlords and brand partners on all aspects of tenders, design, and construction projects.
- Manage a strong portfolio of agencies and contractors and oversee the tendering process to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable regulations.
- Support the Operations team by providing a framework for maintenance and refurbishment, and responding to emergencies to minimize disruption.
- Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to deliver engaging content and communication in both physical and digital formats to increase customer engagement, conversion, and spend.
- Support profitable and sustainable growth by collaborating with the Business Development team on tenders and M&A targets, providing compelling, cost-effective concepts and designs.
- Manage project budgets and costs, and maintain a centralized Store Planning database (CAPEX, vendors, compliance, timelines, etc.) for effective benchmarking and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, from detailed planning to managing changes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction, Architecture, Retail, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in multinational retail and dining, with at least 2-3 years dedicated to project management and store planning, specifically focused on new concept development.
