The Singapore Recreation Club is seeking a dynamic and meticulous Paralegal & Executive Secretary to support the Club’s legal, governance, and corporate secretarial functions.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and the Management Committee, contributing to the Club’s governance, compliance, and strategic operations in a member-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documentation relating to club operations, membership, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Ensure all legal documents align with the Club’s Constitution, Bye-Laws, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and oversee a centralised contract register, including key terms, obligations, and renewal timelines
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including the Societies Act and relevant legislation
  • Provide governance and secretarial support to the Management Committee and Sub-Committees, including review of papers, minutes, and resolutions
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the Club’s Constitution and Bye-Laws, recommending amendments where necessary
  • Support the management of member disputes, complaints, and disciplinary proceedings, including drafting of formal correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and provide advisory support on governance, compliance, and membership matters
  • Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Support dispute resolution matters, including liaising with external legal counsel where required
  • Ensure all required licences and regulatory approvals are valid and maintained, and monitor legislative updates impacting operations
  • Plan and coordinate AGM/EOGM processes, and provide administrative and coordination support to the General Manager and stakeholders

Job requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business, or related discipline with at least 3-4 years of relevant experience in a legal, paralegal, or corporate secretarial role.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, governance, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
