Job Overview:

The Performance Marketing Team Lead is responsible for leading and managing the Performance Marketing team to ensure the successful execution of paid media campaigns across various platforms, including Google Marketing Solutions and Social Media Marketing Solutions.

This role requires a high level of professionalism, strategic thinking, and hands-on expertise in performance marketing, team management, and business operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple high-intensity accounts while maintaining structured workflows and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Marketing Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of 3–5 performance marketers to ensure campaign success and continuous team growth.
  • Establish structured workflows to improve efficiency and ensure consistency in execution.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism— (impartiality and fairness in decision-making).
  • Set team KPIs and work with the Performance Head to align them with company goals.
  • Hit KPIs set by Performance Head.
  • Support the team in improving campaign strategies and optimizations with logical, data-driven reasoning.

Account & Campaign Management:

  • Ability to hold a business unit and also oversee multiple business units and ensure smooth campaign execution across different teams.
  • Manage high-intensity accounts and take over campaigns when Performance Marketers are on leave.
  • Provide accurate and high-quality audits and proposals to support the Sales Team, ensuring recommendations are logical, well-researched, and justified.
  • Forecast and analyze Google and Meta performance metrics to identify trends and optimize campaigns proactively.
  • Develop strategies to enhance client performance and overall company success.
  • Able to link performance metrics to different success components (Website/Creatives/Ad Copies/DLP/Offers etc…)

Training & Development:

  • Conduct structured training sessions with clear training outlines to improve team skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure the team stays updated on the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques.
  • Promote AI-assisted workflows in the team, but also be able to manage over-reliance on AI—all work must be critically analyzed and refined by human expertise.

Data, Reporting & Workflow Optimization:

  • Proficient in Excel scripting to build automated reports and dashboards for better data analysis and workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure all reports, forecasts, and performance metrics are accurate, insightful, and actionable.
  • Maintain structured workflows to enhance organization, efficiency, and team coordination.

Interdepartmental Collaboration & Communication:

  • Act as the main liaison between the Performance Marketing team and the Digital Marketing department to ensure seamless communication with clients.
  • Possess excellent people skills and high emotional intelligence (EQ) to navigate team dynamics effectively.
  • Uphold strong leadership qualities by setting a positive example—being punctual, responsible, and dedicated to excellence.

Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Performance Marketing (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Display, Video).
  • Minimum 1 year of managerial experience, overseeing a team of 3–5 members.
  • Proven ability to handle high-intensity accounts and manage multiple business units.
  • Strong expertise in Google and Meta ad performance forecasting and data analysis.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze and optimize campaign strategies based on real-time data.
  • Experience in creating structured training programs and developing team skillsets.
  • Ability to provide fact-based, well-researched recommendations with supporting data and logic.
  • High proficiency in Excel scripting and automated reporting to streamline processes.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and impartiality—able to separate work from personal matters and uphold integrity.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including accountability, reliability, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Strong ability to think independently, take initiative, and ensure all tasks are completed with high standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fast learner, capable of recognizing and adapting to trends across a large portfolio of 300+ clients.
