Production Engineer

About the role

You will be instrumental in driving productivity improvements and contributing to the overall success of our production facilities.

1. Monitor and optimize production processes to ensure efficient operations and adherence to production schedules
2. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify maintenance requirements and prevent downtime
3. Implement process improvements and standardization initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs
4. Collaborate with operations and planning teams to ensure accurate production forecasting and resource allocation
5. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions
6. Maintain detailed records of production metrics, equipment performance, and quality data
7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies across the production facility
8. Support capacity planning and scheduling to optimize resource utilization
9. Provide training and guidance to production staff on process improvements and safety protocols
10. Liaise with maintenance and quality teams to support continuous operational excellence
11. To fill in for Production Manager during his/ her absence

1. A degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or an equivalent qualification
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production engineering, manufacturing operations, or a related field
3. Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, and scheduling methodologies
4. Proficiency in relevant production management software and data analysis tools
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions
6. Strong understanding of quality assurance, health and safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
8. Excellent communication and documentation skills
9. Experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry is highly desirable
10. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is advantageous
