Position Summary
The Demi / Chef De Partie is responsible to prepare a consistent, high quality food product and ensure courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet's operating concept.
Responsibilities- Relays orders to the station cooks and ensures that each menu item assigned to the station is prepared on time
- Oversees all preparation, cooking and presentation for plates
- Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards
- Assist with cooking, preparation and plating when station chefs are absent
- Ensures that all health and food safety standards are practiced and helps troubleshoot any kitchen issues that may arise
- Supervise kitchen crew in the cleaning duties
- Order kitchen’s inventory
- Maintain in good condition all kitchen equipment by following maintenance program
- Ensure consistency in standard and quality of all food items prepared
