About the role
We are seeking passionate Commis Cooks to join our dynamic team at Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society Ltd in various outlet such as Hougang Ave 8/ 14 Buangkok Green/ 301 Henderson Road. As a Commis Cook 1/2/3, you will play a key role in our kitchen, contributing to the creation of delicious and high-quality meals for our customers.This is a full-time position located in the North-East region.
What you'll be doing- Assisting the senior chefs in the preparation, cooking and presentation of a wide range of dishes.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work station, ensuring compliance with food safety and health
- Collaborating with the culinary team to continuously improve kitchen processes and menu offerings.
- Providing excellent customer service and responding to any special requests.
- To assist others on chopping, cutting, packing and learning dishes from other chefs.
- Helping with deliveries and restocking.
- Follow and maintain cleanliness and good hygiene practices in the kitchen.
- Cooking and preparing all raw and cook materials.
- Inform chef of any excess food items or product for use in daily production.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Commis Cook in a busy hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen,
- Passion for delivering exceptional food and customer service.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Good cooking skills in Chinese and Local Cuisine.
- Able to work on flexi-shift, Public holidays and on roster.
